Maria Pérez Martín

Teacher for violin and viola

María Angélica Pérez Martín, born in 1996 in Pinar del Río, Cuba, studied viola at the University of the Arts in Havana and at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels with Tony Nys. She is currently studying at the “Hochschule für Musik und Theater” in Munich with Roland Glassl.  She has won numerous scholarships for master classes and early music projects in Germany and Italy, and has been taught by Julia Fischer, Vladimir Jurowski and Midori Seiler, among others. María has already played on the most prestigious stages in South America and Europe, performing on string quartet, chamber music, orchestra and as a solo artist. In addition to classical music, she is also active in contemporary music, jazz, Cuban and traditional Latin American music.
