Zihao Wang

Saxophone teacher

Zihao Wang was born in Shaoyang, China in 1998. After completing his bachelor’s degree in 2019 at the Wuhan Conservatory of Music, where he served as a leader and as the 1st alto saxophonist of the saxophone ensemble, he pursued his master’s degree with Prof. Koryun Asatryan at the Munich University of Music and Drama. Zihao attended master classes with professors such as Daniel Gauthier and Vincent David. Zihao gained his stage experience with solo concerts in China and the DACH region as well as with the Bavarian Police Orchestra and the Saxophone Orchestra of Swabia. Among others, he performed the premiere of the chamber opera “Goodbye Bird” with Prof. Koryun Asatryan, Henri Bonamy and other musicians.
Zihao Wang won several music competitions in his home country and is a scholarship holder of the Deutschland Stipendium 2022. Recently he was awarded the special prize at the Kulturkreis Gasteig Music Prize in Munich.
